New Limited Edition POWERBot Robot Vacuum Inspired by Star Wars Arrives

For the last couple of years, the rebirth of Star Wars has been clear for all to see. The new movies are beginning to hugely popular and people are beginning to trace back into the old Star Wars movies who had missed them before. This has seen a huge wave of marketing options, though, and has seen the Star Wars brand grow to be as large as it probably ever has been.

Samsung has seen the potential that exists here, and have jumped in with both feet to make the VR7000; a Star Wars-inspired limited edition robot vacuum. It’s designed to help appeal to Star Wars fans who want to spend more time watching the movies and content around the series instead of spending all of their time having to tidy up. From lazy teenagers to mothers looking to make a point, the new VR7000 could make a wholesale change to the entire vacuum industry in terms of its mainstream popularity.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” is due to release in December 2017 and this release has been brought about to try and cash in on that massive amount of hype and popularity that is swirling around the internet and social media. One looks like the classic Imperial Storm Trooper, the other looks far more like the famous Darth Vader from the old series.

This is going to be interesting indeed to see where this goes; with full Wi-Fi connectivity on both, though, it will feel like they are being powered by the Force. It will also mimic the sound of Vader as it moves around the floor, with that famous breathing sound that he makes constantly played in the background to help add to the depth and coolness of this limited edition collector’s item for all Star Wars fans.

Speaking about the latest release, Samsung were very happy with the finished product, having consulted major fans of the series to ensure it turned out just right.

“We are very pleased to be part of the excitement leading up to the release of the Last Jedi and to be launching our limited edition POWERbot™ in partnership with Star Wars fans,” said B.S. Suh, Executive Vice President of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics. “From its industry-leading suction power, slim design, and smart features, to the wonderful character-themed voice feedback and sound effects, we are confident the Star Wars limited edition of the VR7000 will be a big hit.” Samsung noted on the official release note.

With a 10W suction capacity, the use of CycloneForce and Edge Clean Master technology, this will allow the device to be more than just a novelty item; it’s a damn powerful robot vacuum that can do the job that you need and then some.

With the Visionary Mapping software, too, it can grow to remember rooms and use the force, if you will, to find its way around the room and get the whole place sparkling and shining as it should.
